The Faculty of Labour Relations and Human Resources is an academic center in charge of the organization and teaching of the Diplomatura (3-year undergraduate Degree) in Labour Relations (obsolete); the Licenciatura (2-year conversion Degree) in Labour Sciences (obsolete); the Grado (Bachelor's Degree) in Labour Relations and Human Resources, and other degree programmes and certifications according to the current legislation.

The Faculty is governed and subjected to other rules approved by the Rectorate of our University, by its Internal Regulations (pdf).

The Dean of the Faculty

The Dean holds the representation of the Faculty and manages its functioning.

The role of the Dean includes:

  • To officially represent the Faculty in the presence of public authorities and any person, or any public or private entity.
  • To preside over, in the absence of Rector’s representation, the academic events of the Faculty.
  • To preside over the meetings of the Faculty Board and its Commissions and to order and execute their agreements.
  • To plan and direct the policy of the Faculty.

The Dean is elected for a four years term of office. The Dean can choose the Vice-deans and the Secretary  among all the members of the University Community belonging to the Academic Center. The chosen, together with the Dean, will form the Faculty Executive Team.

The Vice-deans shall act with the powers assigned to them under the authority of the Dean, who may delegate to them such functions.

The Faculty's Academic Secretary

The Secretary is the prosecutor of the agreements of the Governing Bodies of which he/she is a member, including the proceedings in which he/she is present as such.

The role of the Faculty’s Academic Secretary include:

  • The reception, compilation, deposit, custody, and certification of the records of the Collegiate Bodies of the Faculty, the general archives, the decrees, and general instructions of the Rectorate, the direction of the Faculty, the academic and personal records, the seal of the Faculty and the Register of Degrees.
  • To organise the solemn acts of the Academic Center and to ensure compliance with the protocol of the Center.
  • To ensure the publicity of the agreements of the Faculty Board.
  • To prepare the Annual Report of the Center.
  • To authorise the proceedings in the report of the grades.

The Faculty Board (Composition and Records)

The Faculty Board is the highest representative and governing body of the Faculty, within the scope of the competences attributed to it in the University of Granada Statutes, and any others that may be attributed to it by the relevant provisions.

The Board is responsible for the approval and supervision of the Faculty general directives, as well as the supervision of the acts of the other Governing or Consultative Bodies, and for the fulfillment of the functions assigned in the Academic Center to the members of the University Community that form part of it. The Board shall guarantee the independence and autonomy of action of the bodies and persons subject to its control.

The members of the Board shall be elected for a period of two years. During the first term of each academic year, partial elections shall be held to cover the leave of the members of the Board. Those elected members shall retain their status until the expiry of the term of office of the Board of which they are members.
